Overall we enjoyed the accommodation with the spacious room and large bathroom and opted for the club membership with access to an exclusive lounge, which we believe was worth it. Our experience was heightened by the club membership and the great service we received, the food, the drinks and the access to another space to hang out. Grateful for staff member Alastair. The super large bed was so comfortable. The complimentary travel toothbrush, sewing kit, shaving kit, slippers, etc, all well received. Enjoyed the large room with the separate lounge and tv area. Loved the handheld shower head in the bath, which was separate from the actual shower. Found it handy to have the two toilets. Appreciated the decent sized milk in the fridge verses small potels found at other hotels. Grateful for the large bottled water.

We have stayed at the Cordis, Auckland (5*) and I can highly recommend The Grand Millennium is SO much better. The rooms are a great size even on a budget, the staff are very helpful including the staff in the kitchen when we requested some cutlery and bowls. Bathroom size was big and they were really well lit. We had a great view to. Location is perfect for walking to Queen St. It's maybe a 5-7 minute walk. Park on level 8 for best parking (that's the reception level) or park on level 10 and wheel your bags down the entry ramps. Parking is $25 for 24hrs self park, right next to the hotel. You can come and go as much as you please within that time.

Had the club lounge package and my room was very clean and well appointed. And I am fussy. Lots of room and loved having a bath as well as shower. Very quiet up on the 11th floor. Breakfast included which was lovely. Big bottle of water in my room on arrival was great. Club lounge facilities awesome, and pre dinner drinks and snacks were really good. Location was good for me as I had my car and the parking was included as well and access easy. Staff were great.

Club room top floor was quiet with no noisy kids running in the corridors a bonus to sleep in. Buffet breakfast standard but okay, just the urn of coffee was awful being over stewed for some time by 10am Car parking included in Club rate was good. Staff in Club room was very pleasant and helpful with suggestions for nibbles etc Reception staff good, except key did not scan at room once walked the long corridor so had to return to have that sorted.
